Missy was a daughter of the late Valentino Garza and Mary Helen Yanez Garza. Missy graduated from Rotan High School with the class of 1995 and attended TSTC for medical transcription. She married Jeremy Hyer in 2001. Missy lived in Midland and moved to Abilene where she was a substitute teacher for special needs children. She loved to dance and was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Tech Red Raider fan. Missy was a member Saint Joseph Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her father and a cousin, Phillip Yanez.
Missy is survived by her son Jonathan Wes Hyer of Abilene her daughter, Kayla Hyer of Hobbs, TX her mother, Mary Helen Garza of Abilene her fianc Cliff Marquez her sister, Kristy Garza grandfather, Lino Yanez and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
