Allen Hull

ROTAN ALLEN ALEXANDER HULL, 86, passed away Wednesday February 27, 2013, at Rotan. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Rotan. Burial will follow at Belvieu Cemetery. ation will be 5:00 6:00 p.m. Friday at WeathersbeeRay Funeral Home.
Allen was born August 13, 1926 to Abslam Alexander A.A. and Mary Beatrice Kinsey Hull in Fisher County. He graduated from Rotan High School and served our country in the United States Navy. Allen was a lifelong resident of Fisher County, except for a short time in California when he was in the Navy and working for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft. He married Opal Dement July 8, 1965. Allen retired from National Gypsum and also worked for the John Deere House in Rotan. He enjoyed reading his Bible and shelling pecans, which he always gave away. Allen was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church and also a member of the VFW. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, four brothers, five sisters, and two daughters Nelda Swafford and Jacquie Peck.
Allen is survived by six grandchildren and their spouses, Darla and Chad Miller, Joy and Bion Coleman, Jacquie and Don McCrosky, Starla and Lance Burney, Bobby and Pam Swafford, and Jennie and Joe Malear sixteen greatgrandchildren six greatgreatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Allen has requested memorials be made to the First Baptist Church New Fellowship Hall Fund. .
