Allin Acker

Shorty was the son of the late Mozelle Fancher and Forrest Acker. Shorty graduated from Rotan High School and served his country during the Korean War. He married Wanda Jean Simmons on October 20, 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico. Shorty was a cowboy for the Cargill Feedlot in Dalhart, TX for twentyfive years and moved back to Rotan in 1982. He enjoyed golfing, wood crafting and competition roping. Shorty was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Shorty is survived by his wife Wanda Acker of Rotan two sons and daughtersinlaw, Forrest Dale and Brenda Acker of Stratford, TX and Gary and Annette Acker of Bronte, TX three daughters and sonsinlaw, Dihna and Monte McKinney of Rotan, Lisa and Robert Gomez of Mineral Wells, TX, and Carol and Brad Boyd of Roby twelve grandchildren and nineteen greatgrandchildren.
