Annie Laurie Henderson, born August 16, 1938, in Hamlin, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025. She was a cherished individual who positively impacted many lives throughout her journey.
Annie married Billy Henderson on June 23, 1957, in McCaulley, Texas, and together they cultivated a life centered around love and family. She was employed at the First National Bank of Rotan for numerous years, showing her dedication to her community, and additionally served as a Mary Kay Consultant for thirty-two years, demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit.
Family was of utmost importance to Annie. Her love extended deeply to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Billy Henderson; son, Mark Henderson and his wife Amy; and daughter, Lynda Nelson and her husband Guy. Annie took pride in her grandchildren: Morgan Henderson, Haley Cumbie and her husband Rowdy, Julie Ingram and her husband Trevor, Andrew Nelson, Daniel Nelson, and Mark Henderson. She also treasured her great-grandchildren; Aidan Cannon, Cutter Henderson, Landry Cumbie, Lilly Lange, Slade Cumbie, Emory Lange, Paisley Cumbie, and Indie Ingram; brother, Johnnie Woods; sister-in-law Babs Jeffrey; and many nephews, nieces and friends.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents, James William and Lillian Woods and brother, James Woods.
Annie enjoyed sewing and gardening and was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Rotan. She held the position of coordinator for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes, providing joy to children in need.
Family and friends are invited to commemorate Annie's life. Visitation will take place on April 4, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church located at 201 N McKinley Ave, Rotan, TX. The funeral service will follow at the same location from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Interment will be at McCaulley Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
Annie Laurie Henderson will be remembered for her kind disposition, loving nature, and the innumerable memories she shared with her family. Her legacy of love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
