Rotan- Annie Mae McKimmey, 100, passed away Monday, August 12, 2019 in Andrews, Texas. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 15, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Rotan. Burial will be in Belvieu Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Thursday, August 15, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Rotan.
Born May 7, 1919, in Richland, Texas, Annie Mae was the daughter of the late Felix William and Amy Lora (Odom) Brown. She graduated from Rotan High School in 1937. Annie Mae married William Berton McKimmey December 21, 1940, in Rotan. Annie Mae was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church. She loved to read, sew, quilt, and make handcrafts. Annie Mae loved spending time with her family.
Annie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, William Berton McKimmey; three daughters, Wanda Fern McKimmey, Karen Louise McKimmey, and Mary Kaye McKimmey Carter; parents, Felix William and Amy Lora Brown; one brother FW Brown; and one sister, Mildred Lucille Brown.
She is survived by one son, Clyde McKimmey and wife, Jeannine of Midland, Texas; three grandsons, William Todd McKimmey and wife, Anne-Marie of Bixby, Oklahoma, Chad Michael Carter and wife, Tabitha, of Snyder, and Drew Berton McKimmey and wife, Kendell, of Dallas; one granddaughter, Amanda Elizabeth Carter Palmore and husband, Brian of Duvall, WA; great-grandchildren, Avery Sky Carter, Reagan Michael Carter, Samantha Ruth McKimmey, Major Dean Carter, Montgomery Joseph Palmore, Case Berton McKimmey, Turner Elizabeth Palmore, Luke William Carter, Sullivan Kaye Laine Palmore, Torrey Hope Carter, Annie Joy Carter, Sinclair Evans McKimmey, and Joey Grace Carter.
