Billy Green

Billy Green, 87, of Rotan, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017, in Jayton, TX. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2pm, Thursday, February 2, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of Rotan, with Byron Weathersbee and Tommy Rosenblad officiating. Burial will follow in Belview Cemetery, in Rotan.
Billy Joe Green was born June 14, 1929, in Fisher County, to the late Jesse J. and Addie (Bostick) Green. He was a lifelong resident of the Rotan area and a member of the First Baptist Church of Rotan. Billy loved to travel when he was younger. During his life, Billy worked at several places in town including Red & White Grocery, H.L. Davis & Co., and Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home. Billy loved working at the First Baptist Church as Training Union Secretary, Sunday School Secretary, and in the church office for several years. Billy was a good man and a great friend to all those who knew him and loved him.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Addie Green; and his brother, James Willis Green.
