Christine Martin

Christine D. Martin passed away December 8, 2021, in Abilene, Texas. Services will 11:00 am Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Sardis Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 am Saturday at Weathersbee-Ray Chapel until time of service.

Christine was born November 17, 1927, in Brownwood to the late Odus and Bessie (Galyan) DeHay. She married Willie Martin on June 6, 1944, in Rotan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rotan and a member of the Fisher County RV Club. Christine enjoyed painting and making backdrops for all church and school functions. She also loved to sew and make ceramics.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband (Willie Martin), and one son (Billy Ray Martin).

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Diana Gail and Bill Ashton of Abilene; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
