Clois Bennett

Rotan- Clois Wells Bennett, 86, passed March 19, 2021, in Sweetwater.  Services are under the care of Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.

Born December 26, 1934, in Nolan County, Clois was the son of the late Noble and Lorena (Porter) Bennett.  After high school Clois joined the United States Army and served as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne.  After his military career Clois received a degree from The University of Texas and furthered his education at North Texas University.  Clois was a pivotal part in the medical field and wrote books on Clinical Serology that are still taught in schools today.

Clois enjoyed watching Levi play football and watching Bode work and train horses. He went to the boys local and county stock shows throughout their years of showing livestock. Clois was a publisher, a gem and book dealer, and he loved going to the Opera.

Clois was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in sister-in-law, Chrys Bennett and longtime friend and business partner Dr. Aris Mallas.

He is survived by his brother, Marshall Bennett; nieces, Shanna Bennett, and Amy and husband, Garland; great-nephews, Levi Jay and Bode Noble Garland.
