ROTAN DAVID DAVE C. WILLIAMS, 77, passed away Thursday January 9, 2014 at the Oaks at Radford Hills in Abilene. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Belvieu Cemetery under the ion of WeathersbeeRay Funeral Home. Daves family will have visitation 5:00 6:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be posted at weathersbeerayfh.com.

Dave was born September 10, 1936, in Snyder to David and Vivian Davidson Williams. He farmed and ranched in Fisher and Scurry Counties many years. Dave married Margaret Gail Peel July 3, 1958, in Fisher County. He was a Charter Member of Fisher County Young Farmers, a member of the Fisher County FSA Committee, served on the Fisher County Hospital Board, served on the Board of Directors of Farmers Gin Company, and was manager of the gin for several years. Dave was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church. He worked and retired from TDCJ in Abilene, where he and Gail lived since 1994.

Dave is survived by two daughters and a soninlaw, Patti and Monte Morrow of Rotan, and Cindy Williams of Rotan four grandchildren, Stacy Holliman and husband Steven of Academy, Texas, Rode Morrow and wife Shanna of Lubbock, Morgan Strickland and husband Levi of Odessa, and Shawna Gomez and husband Adam of Rotan five greatgrandchildren, Cody, Madison, and Lily Gomez of Rotan, Landry Holliman of Academy, Texas, and Ryder Morrow of Lubbock.
