Delia Hardin

Delia was a daughter of the late Robert Grundy and Lucy Alberta Bertie Clegg Thomson. Delia lived most of her life at Rough Creek until she moved to Rotan in 1976. She married Jesse Hardin on January 16, 1943 in Roby, TX. Delia raised her family and worked outside the home as a cook for Fisher County Hospital and Roby ISD, and as a librarian for the Rotan Public Library. Delia also enjoyed a few hobbies like sewing, liquid embroidery, reading, and cooking. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Roby where she worked in the nursery. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter June Hardin, a brother R.L. Thomson, and three sisters, Mary Boydston, Dorothy Head, and Elene Goodrum.
Delia is survived by two daughters and a soninlaw, Sue and Bill Kirby of Rotan, and Jackie Freeman of Rotan six grandchildren and their spouses, Beverly Price and her husband Johnny, Jessica Galloway, Jara Kirby, Denise Ward, Keith Hardin and his wife April, and Sahala Hardin and her partner Deseria King twelve greatgrandchildren, Scott McKinney, Jesse Price, Krystle Price, Jessica Price, Kimberly Price, Josey Galloway, George Galloway, Clay Galloway, Mackenzie Kirby, Brendan Lowe, Allison Morse, and Jordyn Hardin honorary grandchildren, Brian and Damon Dickson two brothers and sistersinlaw, Perry and Linda Thomson and Melvin and Velma Thomson two sisters, Thelma Burk, and Lillian Rister and numerous nieces and nephews. .
