Dolores Ramirez

Dolores Ramirez ,88, of Rotan, Texas passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 26, 2023 in Belvieu Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.

Dolores was born September 4, 1935 in Rotan to the late Calistro and Georgia Lopez.

Dolores filled her life with work. From a young age she spent her time picking cotton, working at the Rotan Gin for many years, and having her children and grandchildren in the cotton fields chopping weeds.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Theodore Ramirez; and daughter, Norma Torres.

Dolores is survived by her significant other, Emiliano Reyes; children, Elaine Yanez, Ted Ramirez, and Georgette Dewbre; seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
