Donnie Carriker

Donnie was born August 14, 1939 at Rotan to Bennie and Katherine Underwood Carriker. He graduated from Jayton High School in 1957 and attended Texas Tech University. Donnie Married Patricia Elaine Gartman at Post, Texas on May 30, 1959. He was ranch foreman for OO Ranch and Kent County Commissioner. He later was elected as Kent County Judge. Donnie moved to Austin in 1981 and worked for Texas Association of Counties. With his job, he was able to see every courthouse in the state before returning to Jayton in 2007 to retire. Donnie loved ranching and calf roping and was Junior Champion Calf Roper when he was younger. He was of the Baptist faith and later attended the Church of Christ. Donnie is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Weldon Carriker.

Donnie is survived by his daughter and soninlaw, Roni and Kenny Kidd of Lovington, New Mexico one grandson, Jacey Kidd two nephews one greatnephew and an aunt and uncle.
