Eva Smith

Eva Smith, 71, of Rotan passed away July 30, 2018. A graveside service will be held at the Blanton Creek Cemetery in Bagwell, TX. This cemetery is located about 14 miles northwest of Clarksville, about 4 miles north of Bagwell on the Manchester road on the east side.
Eva Alice Smith was born December 22, 1946 to W.O. and Etta Mae (Stewart) Smith. Eva married Lonnie James Smith on May, 28, 1964. Eva was a great cook and loved making cookies and homemade biscuits for her family. She worked as a seamstress and enjoyed what she did. Eva made each member of her family an embroidered pillow case and each great-grandchild a crocheted blanket. Eva was a very loving person and she will be truly missed by all those who knew her and loved her.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Lonnie Smith; her parents W.O. and Etta Mae Smith; her brother Butch Smith; Her son-in-law Bob Cabler; and her grandson James Hock.
Survivors include her children Rebecca Cabler, Jerry Smith (LaWanda), James Smith (Amy), Jody Smith (Vicki), Jessie Smith (Angie) and Stephanie Huston (J.D.); her grandchildren Shane Cabler (Sherri), Crystal Cabler, Ashlie McBroom (John), Cathy Hock, James Smith, Kara Smith, Taneesha Smith, Kortney Smith, Staci Smith, Dakota Smith, Jacee Smith, Chad Huston (Ashton) and Kristopher Huston; her brother Wade Smith (Sharon); eleven great-grandchildren; and special friends Dana Smith, Clarence Crawford and Cassie Mayes.
