Francis Ruark

Rotan- Francis Ruark, 78, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019 in Tye, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at the Cross Roads Baptist Church in Rotan. Burial will be in Belvieu Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, October 28, 2019, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.

Born October 30, 1940 in Rotan, Texas, Francis was the daughter of the late Shorty and Mary Denniston. Francis married Donald Berry Ruark July 11, 1957. She was a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church. Francis was a friend to everyone she met. She liked to crochet, play internet games, watch WWE and classic westerns. She was everyone’s “Mammaw”.

Francis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Ruark; three sisters, Virginia, Marie and Marleen; one granddaughter Misty Leach, one great granddaughter Stacey Jean; one great grandson, Bryson Vaughn; and mother-in-law, Julia Ruark.

She is survived by three daughters, Pat Shrum, Pam Heath, both of Tye, Texas and Susie Ruark of Disney, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jimmy and Danielle Tankersley, Chassity and Mike Maples, Billy and Nicole Vaughn, Bobby Vaughn, Bryan Vaughn, Angela and Aaron Mosler, Mike Leach and Teresha Martin; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren and two on the way.
