Born December 18, 1925 in Fisher County, Frank was a son of James Milton and Jenny Mitchell Burk. Frank grew up and graduated from Sylvester High School. Frank served during WWII in the Navy. He married Thelma Thomson in Roby on May 20, 1950. Frank was a line Forman for WTU and retired to start a Dairy. He lived in the Abilene area for 15 years and then San Angelo and moved to Houston, finally back to Roby in 1979. Frank was a member of First Baptist Church of Roby. He loved to sing especially for the nursing homes. He was active in his community by serving Meals on Wheels and Ombudsman for nursing homes.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Erwin Burk and one sister Norene Kersh.
Frank is survived by his wife Thelma of Roby one son and daughterin law, Bob and Jennifer Burk of Frisco two daughters and a soninlaw Barbara and Rusty McDaniel of Grand Prarie, and Kathy Burk of Arlington, Tx one grandson and his wife, Ricky and Shelly McDaniel and one great grandson, Will McDaniel two brothers and a sisterinlaw, Lathum and Linda Burk, and Delmar Burk five sisters and three brothersinlaw, Louise and Joe Milliron, Velma and Melvin Thomson, Sam and Donald Wilson, Lila Snell and Ila Burk one sisterinlaw Maxine Burk and numerous nieces and nephews.
