Geneva was born August 4, 1917, in Longworth, Fisher County, Texas, to Harmon and Myrtle Montgomery Brumfield. She graduated from Roby High School in 1936 and married Alonzo Hale that same year. Two children were born to this union: Beth Hale Turner and Freddie Lee Hale. Alonzo died September 10, 1960. Geneva married Forrest Perkins in 1965. Forrest passed away May 27, 1997.
Geneva was an LVN and worked at hospitals in the Fisher County area. She went to work as Deputy County Clerk in 1964 and was appointed County Clerk in 1973. She held this position until she retired in 1981. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Roby, Methodist Womens Garden Club, and a lifelong member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, three siblings, both children, and a greatgrandson, Kyler Hale.
She is survived by soninlaw George Turner, Grandchildren: Lawrence Turner and wife, Kim Tonya Challis Marc Hale Turner and wife, Sharon Dennis Hale and wife, Yvonne Gary Hale and wife, Tina and Stephen Hale eight greatgrandchildren: Spencer Whitney Turner Dancy Devon Challis Corey Michael Hale Joshua Hale and Cheyenne Hale and two greatgrandchildren: Aubrey Hayden Wallace and numerous nieces and nephews.
