Born May 30, 1966 in San Angelo, TX, James was the son of the late R.C. and Jewel Estelle Rich Whiteley. James graduated from Dublin High School and attended Tarleton State and was in the process of studying Theology. He married Brandy Griffith in Dublin on February 14, 1997. James lived in Brownwood for twelve years before moving to Roby in 2007 and owned a Dominoes Pizza franchise in Sweetwater. James always wanted to be with family especially his children. He loved being around people and his passion was serving the Lord. James was a member of the First Baptist Church of Roby and was licensed to the Gospel Ministry on October 23, 2011 and was ordained as a church deacon in 2012.He is preceded in death by his parents, a niece Paige LeighAnn Sanders and his grandparents.
James is survived by his wife, Brandy of Roby two daughters, Catherine and Jeweleigh Whiteley of Roby one sister Linda Sanders of De Leon two nieces and their husbands, Shae Lynn and Blaze Pendleton of Granbury, and Tiffany and Matt Misenhimer of Midlothian motherinlaw and fatherinlaw, Gloria and Bobby Griffith a sisterinlaw, Melissa Waldon and her husband Josh a grandmotherinlaw, Jimmie Kennedy one niece one nephew two grandnieces one grandnephew and numerous relatives and friends. .
