Janis Snyder

Janis Snyder, 72, of Rotan passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Rotan Methodist Church.

Janis was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico on March 14, 1952, to Shirley (Petty) and William B. Kornegay. After graduating from High School, she attended college. 

Janis married Lenny Snyder. Jan and Lenny spent lots of years out on the open roads exploring, fishing and getting lost. She enjoyed drawing, calligraphy, the game show network, and her cats. Janis had a deep love for her God, her church family and friends. Jan’s favorite place was sitting outside on her porch watching the birds, painting rocks and listening to her windchimes.

 She was preceded in death by one son, Nathan Huston. 

Janis leaves behind one son, Jonathan D. Huston and wife Stephanie; two grandchildren, Chad Huston and wife Ashton, and Kristopher Huston and wife Cheyenne; six great grandkids, Kennan, her favorite great granddaughter, Presley, James, Maverick, Carsyn and Kamdyn; her sister Karan Bailey and husband Don of Waco Texas; her bonus grandkids JJ and Kathie; and bonus daughter, Lisa.
