Jerelene Palmer, 92, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024 in Abilene, Texas. Service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Roby with burial to follow in the Roby Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home in Rotan, Texas on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

Jerelene was born January 9, 1932 to the late Henry R. and Blanche C. (Brown) Hadderton. She married Martin H. Palmer on August 31, 1950 at the Methodist parsonage in Roby, Texas. Jerelene was a housewife, a loving, strict mother, a cub scout den mother, and a Sunday School teacher for over thirty years. She had two jobs after graduating from High School, she worked for Norell Implement and the Whiteway Café. She will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin H. Palmer; brothers, Charles Hadderton and Frank Hadderton; and sister Daphene (Hadderton) Hurst.

Survivors include two sons, Jeffery Palmer and Terry Palmer; grandchildren, Jamie Dawn Palmer, Brian Terry Palmer, and Tember Wyvette Bolton; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
