Jimmy Ray Reaves, 83, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 in the Pawhuska Hospital, Pawhuska, OK.
Mr. Reaves was born July 9, 1935 in Hobbs, TX the son of Luther Washington and Maudie Mae (Fox) Reaves. A Veteran, he served in the US Army from 1953 to 1956. A retired oilfield truck driver, was a lifetime member of the VFW in Clinton, OK. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching westerns, fishing, traveling and going to casinos. He was an avid supporter of the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Surviving family include his daughter, Becky Rasberry and husband, Jack, of Pawhuska; sister Lucy Starnes; daughter-in-law Lisa Reaves Gray; grandchildren Jaque Kyler and husband, Dee, Kelli Rasberry and Randi Rasberry, all of Pawhuska; Laramie Reaves and wife, Jocelyn, and Charlie Reaves and wife, Madison, all of Seymour, TX; great grandchildren Graham Reaves, Laynie Reaves, Tanner Kyler, Cooper Kyler, Lane Kyler, Jaxson Whitman and Kason Whitman; nieces Linda Shinault and husband, JL, and Debbie Herndon and husband, Neal, all of Elk City, OK; Penny Bray and husband, David of Westbrook, TX; Lonnie "Squirt" Alls and husband, Brandon, of Rotan, TX; three great nephews and three great nieces.
Mr. Reaves was preceded in death by his parents; brother Johnny Reaves; son Jimmy Reaves, Jr., and brother-in-law, Lonnie Starnes. Jimmy was married to Janice Ruth Davis in 1957.
Graveside services will be held Friday, November 16, 2:00PM, at the Belvieu Cemetery, Rotan, TX. Rev. David Acevedo will officiate. Interment will be in the Belvieu Cemetery, Rotan, TX.
