Joe Seaton, Sr.

Born July 21, 1937 in Fisher County, Joe was a son of the late John L. Seaton and Annie D. Warren Seaton. Joe married Jennette Sawyer in Rotan on September 2, 1956. They moved to Jayton in 1958. Joe retired from the Highway Department after thirty years. After retiring Joe pumped wells and ranched always naming his cattle. He liked to play guitar and ranch. Joe was a Baptist. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Joe H. Seaton, Jr., a daughter, Judy Annette SeatonBirkenfield, his brother, Alvin Seaton, and his sister, Gaynell Seaton Martin.
Joe is survived by his wife Jennette Seaton of Jayton two sons and daughtersinlaw, Tim and Teresa Seaton of Saginaw, TX, and Wes and Tonja Seaton of Jayton ten grandchildren, David Lee Brennaman, La Kayla Brennaman, Amy Seaton, Ana Seaton, Justin Seaton, Jonathan Seaton, Tyler Seaton, Savanna Cowen and her husband Jim Ed, Michael Seaton and his wife Brina, and Samantha Adams and her husband Philip eleven greatgrandchildren, Lane Seaton, Jared Cowen, Wesley Cowen, Mistie Cowen, Jason Cowen, Alaih Cowen, Hunter Seaton, Daylee Seaton, Londyn Seaton, Ace Adams, and Georgia Seaton a daughterinlaw, La Donna Seaton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. .
