Justin Moffett

Justin Moffett, 38, of Shallowater, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 in Shallowater. A memorial service is for 10am, Friday, December 22, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Rotan, TX. Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home of Rotan is in charge of arrangements.
Justin Earl Moffett was born February 17, 1979 in Rotan, TX, to Jerry Lynn and Donna Kay (Tucker) Moffett. Justin's wife, Candas, and his children were the loves of his life; he lived for them. He loved to take his boys hunting, and coaching them in their favorite sports. Justin also loved his nieces and nephews dearly. He loved being the "favorite uncle", however that title has been disputed by his brothers. Justin was a gifted salesman and could sell a wet paper bag. Justin loved his family and friends and there wasn't anything he wouldn't do to help them; he would give any one of them the shirt off his back. He was an outdoorsmen; he loved being outside, hunting, fishing, and grilling out. Justin was also a very Godly man; he knew scripture very well and insisted his boys did as well. He told his boys daily: "Do something good for someone, today. If you see a need, meet it." Justin was a loving husband, father, son, uncle, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him and loved him.
Justin was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Moffett and his nephew, Max Warren Moffett.
Justin is survived by his loving wife Candas Rene' (Boyd) Moffett; his sons, Kouper Boyd, Xander Moffett, Colson Moffett, and Kane Moffett; his brothers, Patrick Moffett and wife Penny and Jason Moffett and wife Dee; his sister, Kathleen Peters and husband Joshua; his mother and father-in-law; Carol and Brad Boyd; his sister-in-law, Bree Boyd; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
