Kyle Moore, 94, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Roby First Baptist Church. Burial will be at the Roby Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will take place at the Roby First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 1:30 pm, preceding the service.
Born May 2, 1927, in Fisher County, Kyle was the son of Charlie and Emma (Stuart) Moore. He married Rose Warshaw, the love of his life, in Roby on July 2, 1947. They enjoyed traveling and dancing. Kyle proudly served in the army, and was a veteran of World War 11. Most of his life he farmed and ranched. He raised a lot of horses and charolais cattle. He managed the Cross L Ranch in New Mexico in the 1960’s. As a board member of the Federal Land Bank Association, he went to Washington DC as a lobbyest for farmers. He was a Roby School Board member, a Mason, and committee member of the Fisher County Fair and Rodeo, leading the grand entry for over forty years. As a member of the Roby First Baptist Church, he served on the building committee for the present day church. Kyle was always ready to go to rodeos, sporting events, and his grandkids’ and great grandkids’ activities. In his later years, he was an avid gardener and watched hours of rodeos.
Kyle was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, his parents, four sisters, and five brothers. Survivors include son, Bob and wife Kay; daughter, Connie Smith and husband Bobby; one brother, Neil Moore and wife Darlene; sister in laws, Jessie Moore, and Reba Moore; eight grandchildren, Coby Moore (Sandra), Bryce Moore (Tisha), Lance Moore (Sunny), Brooke Terrell (Jason), Hunter Warren (Magan), Cody Smith, Tim Bob Smith (Alicia), and Johnny Smith (Kollin); twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great- great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Roby Cemetery Association, Box 304 Roby, TX.
