Larry Norton

Larry Russell Norton, 71, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023 after a battle with heart disease and pulmonary fibrosis. He was a fighter until the end and was loved by many. A memorial service and viewing will be held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home Chapel in Rotan, Texas.

Larry loved his children and grandchildren. He grew up in Kentucky and came to Texas as a young adult. He loved fishing, camping and being outdoors. He was organized and loved to joke around. Larry never met a stranger and would give you the shirt from his back.

He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany and her husband Roy Garcia of Rotan; his grandson Elijah Norton; daughter, Brandy Burkett of San Angelo; grandson; Joshua Norton, and daughter Kya Norton; granddaughter, Faith Norton, and son Keon Norton of Kentucky; three step-sons, Brian Crane, Jason Crane and Aaron Crane; grandson, Tristin Crane; brother, James Norton of Kentucky; and by numerous nieces, nephews and friends that loved him dearly.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Norton; mother; Ruby L. Norton; father, Roland Norton; sisters, Marie, and Edna; brother, Kenneth Norton; and his beloved son Larry Russell Norton Jr. and daughter Melissa Ann.

His family is grateful to know that he is pain free and at peace.
