Laurence Sparks

L. W. Sparks was the son of the Laurence Aric and Mary Jane Sutton Sparks. L.W. was a graduate of the Class of 1960 at Rotan High School. He graduated from Sul Ross University with a degree in Animal Husbandry. L.W. married Byrde Thomas on February 4, 1994 in Aspermont. He was a rancher and loved to golf, do crosswords and spend time with his grandchildren. L.W. was a member of the Church of Christ in Rotan. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Norma Jean Gibson and Jane Lafon Porter.
L.W. is survived by his wife Byrde Sparks of Rotan one son and daughterinlaw, Joe Mike and Nancy Sparks of Rotan one daughter and soninlaw, Carmen and Raymond Weathersbee of Holliday, TX one stepson and his wife, Jonathan and Melissa Dalzell of Katy, TX one stepdaughter and her husband, Jamie and Shawn Taylor of Abilene eight grandchildren, Wade Weathersbee and his wife Kim, Leighan and her husband Ross James, Levi Sparks, Jacy Sparks, Jordan Edwards, Jamyl Taylor, Jaylen Taylor and J.D. Taylor five greatgrandchildren two brothersinlaw, Lynn Gibson and Eddie Thomas and his wife Joyce two sistersinlaw, Janet Deen and her husband Wayne and Sue Thomas and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. .
