Lino Felan

ROTAN LINO FELAN, 65, died Thursday April 26, 2012 at an Abilene hospital. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday April 28, 2012 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Rotan. Burial will follow at Belvieu Cemetery under the ion of WeathersbeeRay Funeral Home. Rosary will be from 6:007:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Born December 4, 1946 in Sabinal, TX, Lino was a son of the late Marcelino Hernandez Felan and Francisca Contreras Felan. Lino grewup and graduated from Snyder High School in 1968 and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Lino worked as a correctional officer for the Price Daniel Unit in Snyder until he retired. He moved to Rotan in 2006 and married Stella Yanez in Roby on September 23, 2008. He loved fishing and electronics and watching television. Lino was a member of the Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Jennifer Felan.

Lino is survived by his wife Stella of Rotan four sons and a daughterinlaw, Jeremy and Callie Felan of Terrell, Thomas Felan of Kennedy, Emillio Felan of Snyder and John Hinojosa of Colorado City a brother and sisterinlaw, Jose Ruben Felan and his wife Carmen of Albuquerque, NM three sisters and brothersinlaw, Dora and Robert Rivera of Odessa, Anita and Joe Martinez of Abilene and Cynthia and Danny Chavez of Lubbock five grandchildren and his precious dogs, Ashley and Canela. .
