Lupe Cabrera

Lupe Cabrera, 73, formerly of Rotan, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2017 in Colorado. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Friday, February 10, 2017, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Rotan; Father Cruz will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Belvieu Cemetery in Rotan. A rosary service will be held at 6:00pm, Thursday, February 9, 2017, at the Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home Chapel in Rotan.
Mary Guadalupe "Lupe" Cabrera was born December 14, 1943, in Rotan, to the late Julio and Cruz (Herrera) Molina. Lupe lived in Rotan for the majority of her life. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Rotan and worked as a teacher's aide in the Rotan Elementary School for many years. Lupe loved gardening and knitting in her free time, and she absolutely adored her grandchildren and being their grandmother. Lupe was also a very strong woman, having survived both cancer and a double organ transplant. Lupe was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and she will be dearly missed by all those who knew her and came to love her.
Lupe was preceded in death by her true love, Ruben Cabrera, Sr.; brothers, Zack Molina and Amador Molina; and her sister, Mary Ramirez.
Lupe is survived by her children; Debra (Joe) Medrano of Colorado, Joseph Cabrera of Ft. Worth, and Ruben Cabrera, Jr. of Ft. Worth; 6 grandchildren, 2great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
