MARSHALL CULLEN TERRY, 96, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015, in Sweetwater. Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015, at the Roby Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.
Born August 9, 1918, in Roby, Texas, Cullen was the son of Pink and Orpha (Stuart) Terry. He married Alline Springfield, on December 29, 1939 in Sweetwater, Texas. Cullen farmed and raised cattle in Fisher County all of his life. In his spare time, he enjoyed vegetable gardening, RVing, and visiting with people. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Roby.
Cullen is preceded in death by his wife, Alline Terry; his parents, Pink and Orpha Terry; his son-in-law, Jerry Hoodenpyle; his brothers, Thurman Terry, Kermit Terry, and Billy Terry; and his sisters, Juanita Terry and Mary Lou Fuller and great grandson. Sean Hughes.
He is survived by his daughter, Jonnie Hoodenpyle of Roby; his brother, Dono Terry; his sister, Dorothy Guelker; two grandchildren, Linda Callan and husband, Larry, and Lisa Hughes and husband, Mike; two great-grandchildren, Lacy Gilbreath and Sam Hughes; three great-great-grandchildren, Kolby, Kayden, and Karlee Gilbreath; and a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Roby Cemetery Association, PO Box 304 Roby, TX 79543 or donors favorite charity.
