Mary Carter

McCaulley- Mary Arlene (Marlene) Carter, 86, has gone to be with the Lord on April 21, 2019. Graveside services will be11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2019, in Belvieu Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Weathersbee- Ray Funeral Home.
Mary was born in Rotan, Texas on May 13, 1932 to the late Robert and Leatha Martin. She moved to Roby when she was two years old. Mary married Billy Ray Carter on January 28, 1949 in Roby, by Rev. Hughley. After they married the couple moved back to Rotan, and in 1957 made their home in Odessa. Mary loved her daughters and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, two brothers, Artie and Maurice and one daughter, Connie Garrison.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Ray Carter; four daughters, Malinda Garrett, Madena Hamilton, Marla Carr, and Bonnie Upshaw; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Honorary Pallbearers will be John Carr, Brent Hamilton, David King, Kenneth Upshaw, David Skeels, Pat Hamilton, Titus Beyke, and Bernard Garrett.
