Mary Daniel

Mary Magdalene Daniel went home on December 17, 2021, at the Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater, Texas. Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home in Rotan Chapel with burial to follow in Belvieu Cemetery. There will be a visitation time before the service starting at 10:00 AM Saturday.

Mary was born in Perry, Texas on August 20, 1954, to the late Leon Doc Daniel Sr. and Rella Lee Huitt Daniel. Mary moved form Perry to Rotan in the late 1950’s. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Mary loved shopping, listening to music and dancing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Dwayne Daniel, and brother, Leon Daniel Jr.

Mary is survived by her children; Edna and Jimmy Garcia of Hamlin, Tina and Danny Gunderson of Snyder, and Joe Henry Daniel of Rotan; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; siblings Larry Ray Daniel of Rotan, Billy Daniel of Seminole, Cindy Daniel of Rotan, Troy Lee Daniel Sr. of Rotan, Bobbie Williams of Rotan, Joyce Daniel of Rotan, and Rebecca Daniel of Rotan.
