Born January 9, 1922 in Comanche County, TX, Lucille was a daughter of the late Marion Franklin OBriant and Mary Jane Robertson OBriant. Lucille moved to Fisher County when she was eleven months old and was a lifelong resident of Rotan. She married Glenn E. Gabel on August 2, 1937 in Aspermont. During WWII Lucille worked at National Gypsum in Rotan and later would begin raising her family. She also worked outside the home for various places in Rotan, the Drug Store, and Thriftway as a cashier until she retired. In her sparetime Lucille loved spending time outdoors as an avid gardner landscaping and collecting rocks. She was a seamstress and loved to dance. Lucille was also a member of the VFW Womens Auxillary where she called bingo. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rotan. Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1991, a soninlaw, Curtis McQueen and ten brothers and sisters.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Neva McQueen of Rotan her grandson, Stephen McQueen and his wife Tammie of Troutman, NC three greatgrandchildren, Devin McQueen, Jeremy Stanford, and Mallory Harrison two greatgreat grandchildren, Aubrey and Brook Harrison a brother, Virgil L. Lindy OBriant and a very special friend Cullen Terry. .
