Mary Mcateer

Mary Belle was born on March 18,, 1927, to the late Luther and Vada Canon Johnson in Jayton, Texas. Mary Belle married the love of her life, Zealous Ladell McAteer on July 26, 1946, in Jayton. She and her husband owned the McAteer Department Store in Jayton for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Mary Belle was preceded in death by her husband, Zealous Ladell McAteer her parents, Luther and Vada Canon Johnson her brother, John Johnson and two sisters, Patsy Ruth Johnson and Bernadine Walker.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Snider and her husband, Gary her son, James O. McAteer and his wife, Monika six grandchildren, Audra Mata, Denise Perlstein, Christine Berry, Laura Earl, James McAteer, and Jo Vendl eight greatgrandchildren a sisterinlaw, Mary Lynn Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Bruce Long Food Pantry in Jayton.
