A time of visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm at the church. Services are under the direction of Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home of Rotan, Texas.
LoVelle was born on January 21, 1938 in Big Spring, Texas to the late Olbert W. and Clara Mae (Bradley) Fletcher. LoVelle was a wonderful sister, faithful wife, loving mother, and fantastic Granna, but most importantly she was a baptized believer and a loving Christ-like example to everyone she knew. She eagerly and faithfully served God and was the definition of a servant’s heart. LoVelle was kind and caring to everyone she came in contact with, strangers included, always being warm and welcome. She took great joy in attending her kids and grandkids and great grandkids events. She rarely missed a football game, basketball game, track meet, cross country event, stock show, awards banquet, or any outing her kids were involved in. She was a proud supporter and made sure everyone knew who she was rooting for. She taught school for thirty-one years. During that time, she raised their two boys, kept her grandkids, drove grain trucks and tractors in the summer, and plowed fields. Also assisted with running the module builder during cotton harvest when needed. LoVelle enjoyed sewing clothes for her family and patched many holes in their jeans and shirts. The meals she prepared were renowned for graduating you into larger pant sizes. You could tell her you were full, not hungry, dieting, or watching your weight, none of it mattered. You were going to take a bite of something before you left. She did all those things because she wanted to serve and nurture those around her. Her mother and Granna duties were always taken seriously, and with great pride. In her spare time, LoVelle liked to watch for deer, turkey, and other wildlife out her living room window. You could also find her conversating with family and friends on the front porch when the weather was pretty. She walked two miles every morning and melted the rubber off the soles of the shoes of partners that were constantly trying to keep up. She kept the cleanest house in Sylvester and wore out many Bibles. It is one thing to quote scripture and another to live it. She did both and expected the same from her family. She knew that life was temporary, and Heaven was forever. To always be prepared for the Good Lord to call you home. She was just that. Ready to go when she parted her earthly home to be with her Lord and Savior. Completely healed, worry-free, and at perfect peace forever. LoVelle is already missed but her loved ones find comfort and peace knowing we will all be re-united with her in Paradise someday. If she could offer any last words or advice, it would be this: Obey the gospel, get baptized, spread the good news far and wide, and let your light shine wherever you go!
She was preceded in death by, her parents.
LoVelle is survived by her husband, Freddie Stuart; two sons, Brad (Glenna) Stuart, and Britt (Lisa) Stuart; six grandchildren, Lyndi (Casey) Boone, Shane (Shannon) Stuart, Hunter Stuart, Brittini (Ryan) Conkright, Shali (Erik) Alaniz, and Danci (Chad) Dennis; nine great grandchildren; and two sisters, Lela (Jimmy) Porter and Sherrie Bordofske.
