Nae De Los Santos

Asined Maria De Los Santos, our beloved Nae, was released from her tired body to be with our Lord and Savior on February 9th, 2023 after blessing our family for 88 years. She could wait no longer to join her Lindo, Polo, who has waited for her since he left us in 2005.

Our Nae was delivered to this world with help from a midwife on October 6th, 1934 in San Ygnacio, Texas to her parents Maria and Eligio Rodriguez. Nae married her loving Polo, Jose Apolinar De Los Santos, known by his Fisher County friends as Joe, on February 15th, 1953 in their hometown of San Ygnacio. Their son Johnny was born in 1954 before they moved to Roby, Texas in 1955. Nae and Polo were blessed with a daughter, Diana, in 1958. Nae was a dessert expert during her 23 years working in the cafeteria at Roby CISD. Many Roby graduates share fond memories of sweet treats they enjoyed in the cafeteria prepared by Nae’s loving hands. Nothing in the world meant more to Nae than her family and the friends she called family.

Nae was preceded in death by her parents Maria and Eligio Rodriguez and a great grandson Adein Ortega as well as her loving Polo.

Nae is survived by two brothers, Israel (Leto) Rodriguez of Mission, and Mario and wife Zulema of Zapata, and a sister-in-law Mary Alice and husband Jimmy of Roby. Additional survivors include her son Johnny and wife Linda of Roby, and her daughter Diana and husband Joe of Roby. A Grandson Johnny Jr and wife Teresa Of Austin. Granddaughter Celia of San Antonio. Granddaughter Alicia and husband Lance of Roby and Great Grandson Keegan of Roby. And several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loved ones who called her family.

Nae was deeply loved by all of those that she touched in her 88 years, and she will be deeply missed. However, she is not lost. For we know that she rests and waits for us to join her in Heaven.
