PAULINE McCLURE WEBB, 99, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015, in Rotan. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at the Roby Cemetery in Roby, Texas, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.
Pauline McClure Webb was born August 19, 1915 to S.J. and Lula Bell Keener McClure. She was the oldest of nine children.Pauline married Charles R. Webb Jr. on March 24, 1934 and they lived for a short time at Sylvester before moving to Longworth and then to Roby in 1941. They became members of the First United Methodist Church. She was always busy with her family, garden and raising chickens to make extra money selling eggs.

When her daughters were in high school she decided there was a need for something for the teenagers to do for entertainment and she enlisted the help of some other Mothers she knew in both Roby and Rotan to sponsor dances once a month. Only freshmen thru seniors in high school could attend and it was a real treat for the young people.

After her daughters were grown she went to Business school and was employed by MidWest Electric for 23 years until she retired. She moved to Robert Lee and spent a number of years there before returning to Roby in 1998. Pauline adored her grandchildren and always had time to tell them a story; read to them; or just play with them. She was Mammy and they adored her.

Pauline moved to the assisted living at the Hospital in 2000 and later the Hertiage House where she resided until her death. She loved the employees and it was home to her.

She was preceded in death by her Mother & Father; four brothers, Pat, Dude, Jack, and James. Also four sisters; Inez Neves, Elizabeth Byrd, Louise Spiel, and Jane McClure.

Pauline is survived by daughters & son in laws; Lynda & Jimmie Laurie of Roby and Marilyn & Joe White of Robert Lee. Grandchildren: Jemmye & Jim Johnson of Hamlin; Jill & Rick Craig of Tolar, TX; Charlyn & Darrell Clauson of Wamego, KS; D'Aun & Mike Chapa of Lubbock; Charlie & Mindy White of Amarillo.

Great grand children: Jake & wife Kayla Johnson of Hamlin; Josh & wife Traci Craig of Lubbock; Clay Craig of Myrtle Beach,SC; Loryn & Adam Hodge of Toledo, OH; Tyson Chapa of Lubbock; Tana & Harvey Silva of Lubbock; Riley White and Brenna White of Amarillo.

Great great grand children: Jaleigh & Jaedyn Johnson of Hamlin; Kallen & Hadley Craig of Lubbock; Savannah Silva of Lubbock and numerous nieces and nephews.
