Royce Eaton

Royce Lynn Eaton, 81, passed away October 7, 2019, in Abilene.  Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 10, 2019, in the Roby Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.

Born March 26, 1938, in Roby, Royce was the son of the late Clyde Richard and Mattie (Bennett) Eaton.  He graduated from Roby High School.  He married Hazel Williams in 1976.  Royce was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt.  He was a jack of all trades, he worked for the Y-6 Ranch in Hamlin, Rotan Gypsum Plant, and a truck driver.  Royce was a Christian.

Royce is preceded in death by his parents, two step-sons, Delton Lunceford, Jr. and Ronald Lunceford; sons-in-law, Randy Wiggins, Edward Ruelas, Danny Forbes, George Coley; and grandchild, Shannon Slaughter.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Eaton; children, Leashia Eaton-Ruelas, DeeDee Lynn Eaton-Coley, and Richard Eaton; step daughters, Susie Atkinson and Carol Steward; three sisters, Evelyn Muff, Janice Parks and Marsh Eaton; and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
