Born May 2, 1918 in Fisher County, TX, Owen was a son of the late William Clark and Elsie Mae Teel Brazee. Owen lived and worked on different ranches in Roby, and various places in Fisher and King Counties. He married Viola Ratliff on December 24, 1938 in Roby. He was the ranch foreman for Sammy Baugh from 19421953 and from 19531994 for the Springs Ranch in King County. Owen also served on the school board and was County Commissioner for King County both for twenty years. In his pastime Owen liked calf roping, hunting and fishing. Owen was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vinson, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son William D. Brazee, his grandson, William Chip Brazee, his brother Dan Brazee, and three sisters Stella Carter, Maude Pennington, and June Wallace.
Owen is survived by his wife Viola of Rotan a son and daughterinlaw, Carol and Essie Ann Brazee a daughter and soninlaw, Julia and Manley Holmes seven grandchildren and their spouses, Cindy and J.R. Johnson, Toby and Beverly Brazee, Hal and Tammy Rankin, Wayne and Carrie Holmes, LaSonja and Gary Hilderbrand, Chelle and Emmett Taylor, and Gene and Rachel Brazee fifteen greatgrandchildren seven greatgreatgrandchildren eight nieces and six nephews.
