Charles Richard Wright

Charles Richard Wright, 76 of Rotan Texas passed away peacefully January 12, 2023. Graveside services will be 11:00 am. Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in the Hobbs Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Monday, January 16, 2023 at Weathersbee Ray Funeral home in Rotan Texas.

Richard was born in Mount Pleasant, Texas on October 24, 1946 to the late Buster Sherman Wright and Mavis Lorene Isbell Wright. He served his country in the United States Army in Germany from August 16, 1967 to July 17, 1969. He was discharged as a honorable E4 Specialist. Richard was a cowboy through and through. He loved breaking horses, ranching, and farming. Richard was a favorite to many and will be missed by a multitude!

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Buster Sherman Wright, and Mavis Lorene Isbell Wright; his sister, Mary Ann Fisk; and his son Stephen Murray Wright.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Linda Hicks Wright of Rotan; daughter, Misti Moses and husband Gregory of Meridian, Texas; two sons, Jeromie Baugh and wife Shelly, of Clyde, and Eddie Baugh Jr. and fiancé Karen Neatherlin of Clyde; grandchildren Mason Fuller, Madison Wright Fuller, Rowdy Hinds, Michael Guzman, and Brittany, Richard (Pookie) Murray Wright and Lilly Fernandez, Laura Baugh, Hunter Baugh, Kaylee Baugh, Tyson Baugh, Taylor and David Martinez, and Kaylee Campbell; two brothers, Bobby Lee Wright and wife Martha of Hobbs, and Buster E. Wright of Claytonville and Glenda Wright of Rotan; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hendrix’s Hospice care in Abilene Texas.
